At Westside Medical Centre, we understand the importance of convenience when it comes to managing your ongoing health needs. That’s why we offer an online prescription repeat service for our regular patients — saving you time while ensuring you continue to receive the highest standard of care.
How It Works
- Your request will usually be completed by your regular Westside GP.
- Prescriptions can either be sent directly to your preferred pharmacy or made available for pick-up at the clinic.
- Please allow up to three business days for processing.
- If your usual GP is away, you may need to book an in-person appointment.
Important Conditions
To use this service, the following must apply:
- You must be a regular patient of a GP who consults at Westside Medical Centre.
- The prescription must be for a regular, ongoing medication that has previously been prescribed by your GP at WMC.
- You need to have had a recent face-to-face appointment:
- within the last 3 months for prescriptions with 5 repeats, or
- within the last 12 months for prescriptions with 1 repeat.
When You’ll Need an Appointment
Our GPs are committed to your ongoing health and safety. If your doctor believes an in-person consultation is necessary, you may be asked to attend the clinic before a script is issued.
Please note that restricted medications (S8 or S4D), including opiates (strong painkillers) and benzodiazepines (sedatives / sleeping tablets), cannot be prescribed through this online service.
Fees & Refunds
- A fee applies for online repeat requests.
- If your request is not approved, a full refund will be issued.
