Procedures
Procedures attract a $57.05 gap fee for all patients. This includes all biopsies and skin lesion excisions.
For many excisions, we won’t know the exact fee until after the specimen has been examined by the pathologist. We will ask you to pay these fees when you come for removal of sutures.
Other procedures fees
Other procedures can attract a total fee of between $75.40 and $323.65 each, with a maximum gap of $57.05 per procedure. This includes but is not limited to venesection, wound repair with stitches or glue, removal of foreign bodies, drainage of haematomas or abscesses, and treatment of ingrown nails.
Diagnostic Tests
Immunisations
All immunisations appointments at Westside Medical Centre will be bulk-billed for Medicare or DVA card holders.
For immunisations that aren’t covered on the Australian Immunisation Schedule, Westside Medical Centre can provide the vaccine at a private cost. This includes: –
- Hepatitis A vaccine
- Hepatitis B vaccine (unless given as a routine childhood immunisation)
- Pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine
- Q Fever skin test or vaccine
- Typhoid vaccine
- Yellow fever vaccine
After Hours Consultations
Westside Medical Centre provides after hours care for our patients at times when the surgery isn’t open. This service is operated by a variety of the doctors who normally practice at Westside. The on-call doctor will be able to access the medical records that your usual GP keeps.
After-hours telephone consultations will be bulk-billed for regular patients of the practice. Face-to-face visits will attract a non-Medicare rebateable fee, starting at $275.
Your health matters, and we understand the importance of expert, local care.
