Background & Vision

Westside Medical Centre was opened in 2010 by Associate Professor Debbie Kors and her husband Jeff. Their vision was to create a medical practice which provided high quality and personalized care within a warm and friendly environment. The medical practice was also set up to be a centre of excellence with respect to the teaching of doctors and nurses-in-training.

The practice has grown significantly since its early days and now boasts an impressive team of dedicated doctors, nurses and receptionists. But while we have grown, our patient focus has never changed. In addition, we have hosted many GP registrars, medical students, nurse and paramedic students over the years, many of whom have stayed to work in the area on the completion of their studies.

In 2019, Drs Suzanne Lyon and David Chessor joined Associate Professor Kors and Jeff as practice owners. Together, they intend to continue the great work of Westside Medical Centre in providing empathic and quality care for patients as well as assisting in the training of the doctors and nurses of the future.
